Meka Jegede is a current LLM and Wharton Business and Law Candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and Wharton Business School (Class of 2017). Prior to commencing her graduate degree, she was most recently In-House Counsel/ Senior Associate at the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria. Meka obtained an MA in Jurisprudence from the University of Oxford and is a UK qualified barrister. After receiving her qualifications at Oxford, she interned at UNESCO whilst also studying French at the Sorbonne before returning to London to practice commercial law at Henderson Chambers and 4 New Square.
She has also earned a BL from the Nigerian Law School and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014. Meka is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of International Law at the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a keen amateur runner.
