What happens when something has served its original purpose but still has value?
This question inspired Business for Better Society’s pilot project, which explored whether retired hotel guestroom linens could be repurposed into school uniforms. It is an idea rooted in looking at everyday materials differently and recognising that what is no longer needed in one setting may have a valuable role to play somewhere else.
We have now completed the pilot in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and are sharing the findings in our latest impact report including photos from a very special Back-to-School event on September 21.
The report looks at the project, what we learned and the opportunities to take this idea further. We invite you to read it and discover how a simple change in perspective can open the door to new possibilities.
